We serve Whitman County but we would love to travel wherever your story takes place. While collectively, we have several years of photography experience, we are beginning our professional journey. A great photographer always has back up equipment but with Brenda and Jen you will be SIMPLY BLESSED with two photographers. We shoot with both Nikon and Canon equipment capturing various perspectives during your customized session.
The Photographers:
Brenda Gingerich: "The more the merrier," is definitely a phrase that could describe my family! My handsome husband, Brent, and I have blended our families. He had 4 kids, I had 2, and we added 2 more to the mix, for a total of 8 kids! We have children in elementary school, high school, college, and one is married. I am originally from a small town on the west side of Washington, but moved to Colfax when I married my husband in 2010. For about 13 years, I worked in the education field as a teacher, a behavior specialist, and a special education director. For the past 7 years, I have stayed at home with our youngest children. The only hobby I have ever really had was photography. I love, love, love taking pictures and seeing the end result. I love the story that each photograph represents, the memories they can bring back, and the peaceful stillness of all the action!
Jen Claassen: Substitute teaching, creating scrapbooks, enjoying donuts, and spending time in the bleachers watching the kids with my husband of 24 years, keeps this camera-toting, foster mama fueled. Growing up in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, my love of photography began at an early age with my Kodak Star. The mountains and the ocean provided beautiful backdrops and I’ve been on the hunt for picturesque scenery since. Attending college in Los Angeles and adventuring in that great big city, traveling abroad, and exploring the back roads and wheat fields right here in the Palouse are just a few places I’ve had the privilege of shooting. I love to travel and I love my growing family, both of which make great subjects for photography. Big roaring laughs and tender, loving moments are some of my favorite things to capture. Even a toddler wearing his favorite t-shirt while enjoying an ordinary bowl of cereal becomes a moment to remember. God’s creations should be enjoyed, remembered, and cherished whenever possible and capturing those moments, whether carefree and wild or calm and serene, makes my heart happy.
